A blue-grey ankylosaurus with cream armour plates and a club tail, its name lettered underneath. Printed on a MagSafe Clear Phone Case for iPhone 14, 15, 16 and 17.
Ankylosaurus lived in western North America during the Late Cretaceous, roughly 68 to 66 million years ago, when much of present-day Montana, Wyoming and Alberta formed part of a warm coastal plain. The animal was named by Barnum Brown in 1908; its name comes from Greek words meaning “fused lizard,” referring to the way its bones and body armour were joined or reinforced. Fossils show a low, broad herbivore protected by bony plates set into the skin, with smaller shields around the neck and sides and a heavy club at the end of the tail. Those features give Ankylosaurus its recognisable outline: close to the ground, broad across the back and built like a living collection of shields. The tail club is generally understood as a defensive structure, while the armour would have helped protect the animal’s body from attack.
This Dino Pals design turns that prehistoric armour into a friendly character for an everyday MagSafe clear phone case. The dinosaur is drawn in a soft blue-grey, with warm cream plates arranged across its back and around its head. Its compact body, short legs and rounded armour create a simple, easy-to-read silhouette, while the sturdy tail finishes in a distinct club shape. The expression and softened forms bring the creature into kawaii territory without losing the details that make an ankylosaur recognisable. Its name is lettered beneath the illustration, giving the image the feel of a small field-guide label or a character badge. Because the case is clear, the artwork sits directly over the phone’s own colour, making the pale armour and cool blue-grey body the main visual accents. It suits iPhone 14, 15, 16 and 17 models and combines a dinosaur illustration with the circular geometry associated with a MagSafe phone case.
A child who can identify an ankylosaurus by its tail club will recognise this one straight away, while a younger dino fan may simply be drawn to the friendly colours and rounded shape. It works for anyone who keeps dinosaur books, fossils, plastic models or illustrated creatures close at hand, and it makes a personal gift for a birthday, new school year or dino-themed collection. In a child’s room, the design can sit with animal prints, maps and shelves of small figures; in a study, it adds a small prehistoric reference without making the space feel like a museum display. Displayed on a bedside shelf, desk stand or peg near other favourite objects, the case keeps its subject visible when the phone is set down. The clear material leaves the illustration feeling light, while the cream-and-blue-grey palette pairs easily with wood, white walls, denim, soft green and other calm room colours.
