Charting the first routes

Atlas is for people who look at maps when they have nowhere in particular to go. Two halves, equally serious. The real world: 1950s-style travel posters for cities worth the trip, and watercolour sketches of streets you walked once and still think about. And the invented one: antique-style charts of kingdoms and seas that were never surveyed by anyone, drawn with exactly the care a genuine cartographer would have wasted on them. They hang together better than they should. A Rome poster and a map of somewhere fictional side by side reads as one collection — the shared language is old ink, warm paper and confident lettering. Everything is printed to order, in the size that fits your wall rather than ours. Three to begin with below: one city, one kingdom, one ocean.
